What a small world we live in. The “Nu variant” scare you keep hearing about is coming from the same people and institutions that spawned the last COVID scare, and the one before that, and the one before that one, dating back all the way to the onset of COVID Mania.

The corporate press and world governments have produced an incredible amount of noise about a claimed new COVID variant, the “Nu” variant, which has been detected in South Africa and Botswana.

Just as with previous ruling class-fomented bouts of Hysteria-19, there is no statistical cause for alarm over this new strain, which is one of over 100,000 mutations of the coronavirus.

The “new strain” has hardly produced any lab confirmed cases, but a panicked narrative has already been seeded in the public. The U.K. in particular has driven the fear to new levels. The country has already added several African nations to its travel ban list, citing the new strain.

The Covid variants that avoid the spike protein are due to "vaccinated" people who still get infected and provide a host for variants to thrive and infect others.

Those with natural immunity that target the whole virus and not just a small component of it don't pass on variants nearly so easily.

This is nuts.

He who must not be named. It appears the W.H.O. has skipped the next Greek letter after Nu to name the new variant. The next letter is Xi. The concern is that W.H.O. is again avoiding any discomfort for the Chinese government. So they named it Omicron...

...The new variant was expected to be Nu but  any additional variant would then be Xi, which happens to be the name of the Chinese leader...

...It is not clear if there is another reason for the decision to skip over Nu and Xi, but W.H.O.'s history with the investigation into the origins of the pandemic has fueled speculation as to a political motive.

...It is a demonstration of the continuing credibility problems for the organization after its original inquiry. Even the new panel has been criticized for its imbalance and the background of its members.

...For that reason, W.H.O. should respond to this latest controversy. It is obviously symbolic (literally) but the concern is that it continues to show a controlling sensitivity for not offending the government. It should be easy to deny or confirm.

Okay, so there is a new variant. I'm shocked (NOT!), because viruses mutate, that's their nature.

It is supposed to be outrageously easy to catch, but where is the case data....

...and even more important, how many deaths have occurred as a fraction of the cases?
