Antifa Activist Smashes in GOP Senator’s Office Door with an Axe — Gets Probation and FBI Gives Him His Axe Back (VIDEO)

A far-left North Dakota man was convicted in federal court for smashing the office door of US Senator John Hoeven’s office in Fargo back in December.

The Post Millennial reported today that the suspect, Alexander Starks, is an Antifa activist.

In April, he pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of government property. Federal sentencing guidelines suggested 10–16 months in prison but he was only sentenced to probation and fined $2,784 for restitution.

In October the FBI gave Starks his axe back.

The Post Millennial:
Quote
A far-left North Dakota man who was convicted in federal court for attacking a Republican US senator’s office with an axe has ties to Antifa, The Post Millennial can report.

Thomas “Tas” Alexander Starks, 31, of Lisbon, N.D., was filmed on CCTV trying to break inside the office of Sen. John Hoeven's in Fargo on Dec. 21, 2020, using an axe. In April, he pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of government property. Federal sentencing guidelines suggested 10–16 months in prison but he was only sentenced to probation and fined $2,784 for restitution.  ...

... Starks’ defense attorney Tatum O'Brien had claimed his client suffered stress from the coronavirus pandemic and was waiting for a COVID-19 relief check at the time of the axe attack.

Despite Starks’ violent extremism, mainstream Democrats in North Dakota have expressed support for him throughout the year.

After Starks was arrested, Democrat leaders in North Dakota donated to his legal defense fund, which raised thousands on GoFundMe. North Dakota Democratic-Nonpartisan League Party chairwoman Kylie Oversen, party executive Ellie Shockley and former lieutenant gubernatorial contender Ellen Chaffee all gave money to Starks. The North Dakota Democratic-Nonpartisan League Party is the name of the local affiliate of the Democrat Party. Starks is a member of the socialist Nonpartisan League Party and has campaigned with them at events.   ...

Is there a 5 day waiting period and background check for axes?

There's no Constitutionally protected right to bear an axe.

The constitution doesn't limit Arms to Modern Arms, therefore Ancient Arms are also protected, such as: spears, the atlatl with light javelin or similar projectile, the bow and arrow, the sling; polearms such as the spear, falx and javelin; hand-to-hand weapons such as swords, spears, clubs, maces, axes, and knives.

So, I have a Constitutional right to bear an RPG, a tank, a howitzer, an MX missle, yet I can't bear a bottle rocket on July 4th?  WTF?

He smirking because a political party has his back. And he knows it.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

You would think that today, Conservatives would carry and defend themselves from
certain death.

An ax to your door certainly is a fearful thing. A derringer holds stopping power
when loaded as below. Carry in a pocket holster.

That line has been blurred beyond recognition.  There are J6 prisoners who didn't even go into the Capitol.
