House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is making a stunning move.

As rumors continue that she may be retiring before the 2022 midterm elections, she has made a purchase that has some scratching their heads.

The 81-year-old speaker has apparently purchased a $25 million mansion in Florida, The Nancy Pelosi Portfolio Tracker said on Twitter.

On November 6, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene addressed the Speaker’s house shopping.

“Nancy Pelosi went house hunting last week in south Florida. She was actually on my plane. She wants to retire in Florida to enjoy low taxes, mask-free hair salons, and Republican freedom policies, while literally destroying all these good things for the American people,” she said.

The main reason rich folks purchase mansions in Florida is because state law protects a homeowner against losing his/her home in a civil judgment.  If you lose a $25 million lawsuit, and your only asset is a $25 million house, you get to keep your house.

That's really not all that high. Price oceanfront property pretty much anywhere,and a half-acre goes for stoopid money.

I am GUESSING she bought at least 5 acres that included a private beach so she wouldn't have to sun with the riff-raff or have to put up with them walking past her home.

5 Acres that are all together in one parchel is worth a LOT more than 5 acres sold indivually. This is especially true in resort areas.

Granted,none of us have any idea how much she really bought. It could be more than 5 acres,or less than 5 acres,but you can bet it is enough land to keep the local riff-raff from disturbing her Dynasty re-runs.
And you can be sure she has more than a half-acre. Hell,she has to have a place for her bodyguards to live when they are off-duty,and would want them close at hand when not on duty.
