Joe Biden Planning to Blame Businesses for Inflation and Higher Prices

Charlie Spiering 22 Nov 2021

President Joe Biden plans to blame businesses for raising prices and higher inflation this week, as his poll numbers continue to plunge.

The president has scheduled a speech on the economy and “lowering prices for the American people” at the White House on Tuesday, before he leaves for his Thanksgiving vacation in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

The Washington Post reports the White House is weighing a plan to blame businesses for raising prices on consumers, accusing them of enjoying record profits at the same time.

It’s unclear how far Biden will go to put the blame for record inflation on American companies, but part of an emerging trend.

Biden already blamed meat processors for higher prices on meat and raised concerns about oil companies for rising costs of gasoline. He also accused companies of failing to move goods off of shipping docks quickly enough, blaming them for the supply chain problems.

Sounds like he and AOC have the same level of understanding when it comes to economics.

And Psaki, don't forget her I don't see why corporations would raise prices just because we raise their taxes economic brilliance.

Biden clearly expects businesses to sell their products at a loss.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

Lyndon Johnson tried this. And this is definitely a Hugo Chavez tactic. It will not sell and it’s nothing more than desperation

The GOP needs to give the public a very clear alternative in 2024 to the Biden era. We can’t have a “we can have these programs but cheaper” Republican. A very heavy axe needs to be taken to the federal budget and spending programs or inflation is going to get worse. It is not an exaggeration to say that we could end up like a Greece or Venezuela

They will at some point toss around the idea of price controls. I doubt they will implement them but I have no doubt that that’s being talked about behind closed doors in the White House

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

All Biden has to do is to put a $10/bbl price limit on domestic oil.  That should bring prices down.

Does that mean government surplus cheese and meat is coming to a supermarket near us?

https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2018/7/24/17606958/meat-cheese-surplus-visualized

The US has a 2.5 billion-pound surplus of meat. Let’s try to visualize that.

You thought the US cheese surplus was huge? Get a load of the excess meat.

There’s a lot of uncertainty these days. So here’s a comforting thought: The United States of America will not run out of cheese or meat anytime soon. ...

How odd, when I read the headline the first thing I visualized were the meatsacks in government, not the actual food kind.  :pondering: I guess we have two huge surpluses.
And who the heck puts lettuce between meat patties, that's were more chees goes damnit!

Soon they will begin shipping that surplus to Asia, just as they are currently doing with our Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

What a pathetic sight to see and old, declining man whose tried for POTUS since the 1970's and when he final gets it and fails spectacularly at it, his recourse is to blame everybody and everything
