Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin says he won't mandate COVID-19 vaccines
WSET/Salem, Nov 19, 2021, Madison Doner

SALEM, Va. (WSET) — Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin thanked voters for their support and laid out his goals for day one in office at a "Thank you" rally in Salem Friday.

Since day one, he's told voters his plan involves improving taxes, education and law enforcement

"We will win, back comprehensively-funded law enforcement, higher salaries, funding for equipment, funding for training. We’re going to protect qualified immunity," Youngkin said.

Friday, he also included what he will do about the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for employees of the Commonwealth.

"I want to make it clear. On day one, I will rescind the executive order mandating that government employees have to get a vaccine and have to wear a mask," Youngkin said.

He also said he will rescind any requirements for children to wear masks in schools.

The Governor-elect is on a "thank you tour" through the Commonwealth.  Here's a video of the rally on Nov. 18. in Lynchburg.  He goes into more of his agenda.
