White House Scrambles to Support Kamala Harris After Damaging CNN Report

The White House on Monday scrambled to support Vice President Kamala Harris from a damaging CNN report about her struggles.

The report detailed White House aides were exasperated with Harris and her team and the vice president felt unsupported by President Joe Biden’s team.

“For anyone who needs to hear it, the Vice President is not only a vital partner to the president but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country — from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki wrote on Twitter after the story broke online Sunday night.

On Monday morning, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield emphasized Psaki’s point on social media.

“Just in case you missed it, let me leave this right here,” she wrote.

Vice President Kamala Harris is being increasingly alienated in the White House as her approval ratings plummet — as the first female veep feels she’s not getting the same support President Biden gives to white male politicians, according to a detailed new report.

Despite their public show of unity, Biden and his right-hand woman have a dysfunctional relationship that has reached an “exhausted stalemate,” CNN said based on interviews with nearly three dozen insiders.

At a time when the president would usually be expected to promote his vice president as a future replacement in the White House, Biden has instead been sidelining Harris as a potential liability, the report said.

She was simply a token to get black and female identitarian votes.  Her experience is a microcosm of how the Ds have treated black people for decades - say anything to get their votes, but keep their problems in place as a campaign issue for next time.

Everyone knows Harris is abysmally ineffective, completely unqualified, and absolutely unlikeable.  She served her 'historic first" purpose on the ticket, she has no further purpose, but Biden's obvious cognitive difficulties make it impossible to hide Harris' shortcomings and failures.

CNN)Worn out by what they see as entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus, key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff -- deciding there simply isn't time to deal with them right now, especially at a moment when President Joe Biden faces quickly multiplying legislative and political concerns.
The exasperation runs both ways. Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers -- who spoke extensively to CNN -- reveal a complex reality inside the White House. Many in the vice president's circle fume that she's not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined. The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she's able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden's team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.

With Vice President Kamala Harris’s approval ratings cratering even below President Biden’s, and left-leaning media outlets like CNN running pieces on the “entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus” by the VP and her staff, White House Press Secretary came on Twitter late Sunday night to defend Harris.

“For anyone who needs to hear it. @VP is not only a vital partner to @POTUS but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country—from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband,” Psaki said.

Symone Sanders, Harris’ senior adviser and spokesperson, also released a statement after the CNN story (Matt will have more on that today), calling it “gossip.”

"It is unfortunate that after a productive trip to France in which we reaffirmed our relationship with America's oldest ally and demonstrated U.S. leadership on the world stage, and following passage of a historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill that will create jobs and strengthen our communities, some in the media are focused on gossip — not on the results that the President and Vice President have delivered,” she said.

As poll numbers sink for Joe Biden and fall even lower for Kamala Harris, it was only a matter of time before the fast-sinking U.S.S. Kamala started firing 'racism' projectiles against the slightly less swiftly sinking U.S.S. Brandon.

According to this long report that ran in CNN by Edward-Isaac Dovere and Jasmine Wright:

Suspicion has sprouted out of the bitterness. Last month, White House aides leapt to the defense of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who was being hammered with outrage by Fox News host Tucker Carlson and like-minded online pundits for taking paternity leave after the adoption of his twins in September. Harris loyalists tell CNN they see in that yet another example of an unfair standard at play, wondering why she didn't get similar cover any of the times she's been attacked by the right.
 
"It's hard to miss the specific energy that the White House brings to defend a White man, knowing that Kamala Harris has spent almost a year taking a lot of the hits that the West Wing didn't want to take themselves," said a former Harris aide, reflecting conversations last month among several former aides and current allies.

Joe Biden, of course, is a racist. His latest ravings about Satchel Paige and his strange 1960s-style use of language declaring the man a "negro" pretty well syncs with all his other racist statements about Indian gas station attendants, Barack Obama being "clean" and "articulate," and all that creepy stuff about being in a swimming pool full of black children discussing his leg hair. There was also his funeral paean to his friend the late Ku Klux Klansman turned senator, Robert Byrd.
