Rapper Travis Scott has a history of inciting music-festival crowds to ignore security and violently storm the stage — leading to him to be arrested twice previously and sued.

Scott was charged over music festivals in Arkansas in 2017 and in Chicago in 2015 for whipping up hysteria and encouraging moshing that left a security guard and concertgoers injured.

At his latest concert, eight people were killed and more than 300 injured in a stampede at Friday night’s Astroworld festival at NRG Park in Scott’s native Houston.

In 2017, police accused Scott of inciting a riot during a show at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion, where several people, including a security guard, were injured.

He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, reportedly in a sweetheart deal with prosecutors to avoid more serious charges. ...

That's awful.
I will say it doesn't look much like a stampede or a mosh pit.

It's starting to look like we're shy of a complete story here.

Yes, and I see a teenager, not a child.....why is that term used, so many times for another culture?   A CHILD, SHOULD NOT,  be out late at night, nor at a concert. A TEENAGER...would be though.  A young man or woman.  Not child.

Same drug FENTANYL FLOYD used to kill himself with.  Stops the heart and breathing.  Same reaction.  What are hired 'security' supposed to do?  What help were they wanting?

HOUSTON — Editor's note: At a news conference Wednesday, Chief Finner walked back his earlier report that a security guard said he was pricked in the neck with a needle before he passed out. The chief now says the guard was hit in the head.

Police Chief Troy Finner said the Houston Police Department is doing everything in its power to find out what happened at the Astroworld Festival on Friday night.    ...

Finner said a security guard who was reaching out to restrain a concertgoer reported he felt a pr*ck in his neck.

"We do have a report of a security officer, according to the medical staff, that was out and treated him last night, that he was reaching out to restrain or grab a citizen and he felt a pr*ck in his neck. When he was examined, he went unconscious. They administered NARCAN. He was revived and the medical staff did notice a pr*ck that was similar to a pr*ck that you would get if somebody was trying to inject," Finner said.

Officials said they are actively investigating to find out what actually happened.  ... KHOU

Interesting.  Wish I had saved the tweet, but a Harris County paramedic reported serveral victims were in caridac arrest.  Not an MD, but concert crushing is not usually going to create that conditon.    Not that the city, county, or organizers would wnat to cover anything up......
