Lori Loughlin to pay college tuition for two students following release from prison
By Olafimihan Oshin - 10/28/21 04:35 PM EDT Actress Lori Loughlin is covering the tuition for two college students after she was released from prison amid her role in the college admissions scandal, NBC News reported on Thursday.
According to US Weekly, The former “Full House” star paid more than $500,000 to help two unidentified students through four years of college.
A representative for Loughlin confirmed the payments to the magazine but declined to provide further details.
Loughlin, along with her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were among those charged in 2019 with paying fixers to get their children into prestigious universities with rigged test scores and fake athletic scholarships.
The couple admitted that they paid half a million dollars to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose onto the University of South California’s (USC) rowing team.
Loughlin, 57, completed a two-month prison sentence in December, was fined $100,000 and was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service.
