Joe Biden’s Breakfast with Joe Manchin in Delaware Ends with No Deal

President Joe Biden hosted breakfast for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Sunday but emerged with no deal to help pay for his nearly two trillion entitlement spending plan.

The president hosted Manchin and Schumer at his home in Delaware, as he continues leaving Washington, DC, on weekends. His agenda remains stalled in Congress as the Democrat moderates and progressives struggle with the price tag of his agenda and how to pay for it.

While no final deal was reached, Manchin reacted favorably to more new taxes on billionaires and a 15 percent corporate minimum tax for companies using loopholes to pay less taxes, according to reports.

The White House is working to come up with an alternate funding proposal for the bill, after Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) opposed widespread tax hikes on corporations.

CNN investigated the meeting details and reported Biden dined on dried prunes and a bowl of Ovaltine. Manchin had steak and eggs with a dry english muffin.  After the meeting was over, Biden returned to his basement and spent 4 hours on the toilet cracking a secret code that read: Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.  Biden lashed out;  "Ovaltine?! A crummy commercial?! Son of a bitch!"

Manchin might have been persuaded had Slow Joe taken him to Tudor's Biscuit World. Very popular in Charleston, WV, I hear.
