A deadly explosion at an ammunition disposal plant in Russia's western Ryazan province on Friday killed at least 17 people, Russia's official news agency TASS reported.
They are trying to disarm old explosives INSIDE a ammo factory?
They may exist, but I am not aware of any job more dangerous that disarming an old explosive. As it ages it can get so unstable it will explode from a temperature change,or it might not go off at all even if you try to set it off.
And there ain't no way of telling which you are dealing with at any given time.
This is why explosive experts (apparantly everywhere BUT Russia) insist on either blowing it where it sits,or putting it in a special "bomb truck) with a container on the back that looks like a cement truck roller.
Whoever was responsible for the brain fart that had them disarming a old explosive inside the building needs to be serving hard time for a long time.
