Oil gushes to highest since 2014
NYMEX crude is nearing $78 per barrel

   FOXBusiness

Global crude prices surged to multiyear highs on Monday after OPEC stood firm in keeping production at current levels.

NYMEX crude closed up 2.29% to $77.62 per barrel, the highest level since November 2014.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, jumped 2.50% to $81.26 — the highest since October 2018.

Gas prices continue to climb with the latest average hitting $3.20 per gallon, as tracked by AAA.

Elections have consequences as the punk POTUS used to say. Putting the dagger in energy independence is already costing this country dearly.

Just wait until a inflation ladened weary diluted Dollar starts playing into this and other world commodity markets.  It is only going to get worse.

Liberal democrats can't comprehend supply/demand economics.  They'll just ask the Government to implement price controls.

Last time that happened my friends and I would get a couple of six packs and we'd have a party while we waited in gas lines.  I can still hear Led Zeppelin tunes ringing in my ear.

And once at the pump, you only got 8 gallons of gas.  At standard mpg back then of only 12-15, that did not go far.

Aw damnit! Now you reminded me of the time I had run out of gas so had to stand in line behind cars with my gas can sucking up fumes and then had to do it all over again in my car hoping I wouldn't run out again before I hit the pumps. I wasn't driving some 25+ MPG compact back then happy77

That happened to us too one time, except we (5 of us) pushed the car 15 feet repatedly every time the line moved.  :silly:
