“Project Dynamo” has flown hundreds of Americans out of Afghanistan since the non-government-sanctioned airlift began after the Biden administration’s incompetence left thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Afghan allies stranded in Afghanistan at the end of August.Tuesday’s flight with more than 100 citizens and green card holders, as well as 56 children, was supposed to be routine for the civilian organization. Project Dynamo and the Human First Coalition had gotten the necessary clearances from the state department and the passengers had all been screened and vaxxed....But some pencil-necked bureaucrat decided to throw his weight around and keep the citizens, green card holders, and special immigrant visa (SIV) holders from entering the U.S. This, after giving the flight permission to land twice.Initially, according to reports, the flight was cleared to land in New York City but the destination was later changed to Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., before being disallowed altogether.
Biden Administration Bars Flight Carrying Americans From Kabul From Entering U.S.https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/rick-moran/2021/09/29/biden-administration-bars-flight-carrying-americans-from-kabul-from-entering-u-s-n1520477Once again, the LIEden MalAdministration is more zealous to bar entry to US citizens and legal residents than to prevent illegal entry at US borders.
Now that it's coming to light that there is far more than the 100 Americans still in Afghanistan and it's closer to 8k...the Administration doesn't want to put the spotlight on these flights.
So they're just gonna prevent them from returning? This is bizarre.
Denying Americans permission to land in their own country is doing a far better job of spotlighting the issue. This is beyond stupid.
While maintaining an otherwise open borders policy, even. This administration’s vindictiveness is exceeded onlyby its ignorance.
There is good news on a story that was published here Wednesday. I wrote about a private charter plane filled with American citizens, green card holders, and Afghan helpers that was refused landing rights in the United States. After finally being allowed to leave Kabul, they landed in Abu Dhabi where they were to board a chartered plane to the United States. That plan fell through and the passengers returned to Kabul.... The State Department and the United Arab Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs were reported to have helped in the arrangements to get the evacuees to the U.S. Yet, the reason being given for denying landing rights to the flight, first at JFK airport in New York, then Dulles airport outside of Washington, D.C., was that more time was needed to verify the manifest. This seemed illogical, given that we are talking about American citizens and green card holders, as well as Afghans with Special Immigrant Visas (SIV). Their documentation had been completed. They were not random Afghans who were able to get a seat on the plane and fly out of Afghanistan without proper documentation. The charter plane ready to take the evacuees to the United States was a Boeing 787. There were 117 people, including 59 children who flew out of Kabul on an Afghan plane... . Project Dynamo, a civilian-run and donor-funded organization dedicated to “honoring the promise made to civilians in Afghanistan that aided the United States over the last two decades”, according to its website, didn’t give up. The plane carrying the evacuees landed in Chicago on Thursday.
