Penn State Prof Placed On Leave, Criminally Charged With Attacking Anti-Vaccine Mandate Student

CULLEN MCCUE   |   September 11, 2021

Penn State professor Walter Oliver Baker was arrested and charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and simple assault following an altercation with a counter-protester on August 27. The protest in demand of a university vaccine mandate was organized by Coalition For A Just University (CJU), a group that is “committed to working for greater transparency, equity, job security, and safety in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and for the meaningful involvement of faculty and other workers in decision-making processes at the university.”
National File previously reported on the altercation in which Penn State Junior Avi Rachlin was assaulted at a protest organized by CJU. The August 27 event was organized in demand of a vaccine mandate for Penn State students, prompting Rachlin to show up and counter protest.

Rachlin, who was carrying a sign, was eventually swarmed by pro-vaccine protestors. One of the protesters struck Rachlin with his shoulder, leaving him with a bloody nose and a trip to the hospital. Police now say that was a Penn State professor.

Walter Oliver Baker, a Penn State professor, was allegedly behind the assault. He is facing multiple charges following the altercation, including simple assault. Baker is an assistant professor of English and African American studies with a specialization in critical race theory.  .  .  .

Placed on leave?  He should have been fired on the spot.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

    • I try my best ...
Prof. Baker is only demonstrating some of that Leftist peace, love, and tolerance we hear so much about.
Truth is the opposite of that stereotype.

Leftists are always the most fascistic, intolerant, and violent people in the country.
Even though the American media falsely smears the Right with these labels.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Charges will be dropped, and he'll be given tenure, and a chair.

More than 100 Penn State students suspended for bucking vaccine-or-test requirement

Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 12:26 p.m.

More than 100 Penn State University students are on interim suspension for failing to comply with the university’s covid-19 testing requirement, according to a release from the school.

As of Tuesday, according to the release, 117 students at Penn State’s University Park campus have been placed on interim suspension after missing at least three weeks of testing.

Covid-19 testing is required weekly for Penn State students and staff who have not been vaccinated or who have not shared their vaccination status with the school.

Interim suspension means students cannot participate in classes regardless of whether they are in-person or remote, can’t be on university property and are temporarily removed from their residence hall, officials said. Suspended students also are barred from university-backed events, such as football games.  ...

Students against the university’s indoor mask requirement marched outside Old Main earlier this month, according to WITF. The roughly three dozen students were part of an “Unmask Penn State” rally, and speakers pushed for lifting mitigation measures in the face of high vaccination rates.

Days earlier, an anti-mask protester was allegedly assaulted by a professor as he counter-protested a rally in support of a universitywide vaccine mandate, according to the Centre Daily Times.

Gee, if they're not vaxxed, what's the harm in their taking classes online? They can't give anyone the cooties, er, Covid, when they're sitting at home, alone, with their laptops.
