Collierville, TENN. – Police responded to an ‘active shooter’ at a Kroger grocery store in the city of Collierville Thursday, city officials said.

The scene is at 240 New Byhalia Road.

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — WREG has received reports of a shooting with multiple people possibly injured inside the Kroger on Byhalia and Poplar Avenue in Collierville.

At least one person was killed and 13 others injured Thursday in a shooting at a Kroger grocery store in Collierville, Tennessee, authorities said Thursday. Police said the shooter died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. 

Police responded to a report of an active shooter at the store at 1:34 p.m local time, according to Chief Dale Lane of the city's police department. Officers searched every aisle and room to clear the building, helping those who were injured and bringing several employees out from hiding.

The Kroger Co. issued a statement on Thursday following the shooting at their Collierville, Tennesse, store, which left several people injured and one person dead.

Alleged Tennessee Kroger Gunman Identified as 29-Year-Old Uk Thang

The suspect of the Kroger shooting was identified as UK Thang.

According to authorities, Thang was a "third-party vendor" at the Kroger store.

It is unclear if he was fired prior to the shooting.

Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane gave limited information on the suspect during the press conference, saying: "I'm not giving him notoriety in this platform."

He did confirm, however, that Thang is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. ...

"Sushi" means cooked vinegared rice. The finished item may include uncooked fish, but not all sushi is sashimi (sashimi is usually, but not always raw fish, e.g. it can be raw beef). Cooking the rice so it can be formed and the forming of the roll is actually a skill and an art form.

I stand corrected. Nevertheless, there's no way I'm going eat either vinegared rice or raw fish. Even with catsup.

Sashimi is not to my taste, nor do I like the texture. The idea of eating raw fish just doesn't work for me, either.
