Actually, I'm glad he got to go. For those of us who dreamed of working or living on the Moon or Mars or exploring Space, (dreams derailed by spending trillions on "problems right here on Earth" that have neither improved nor diminished with subsidy), it is only fitting that a man whose acting helped inspire a generation to look toward a future that wasn't left digging through the ashes of humanity was one of those to go. Considering the relative infancy of civilian space flight, he truly gets to be a pioneer.
