Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, the former congresswoman from Hawaii, demanded Democrat President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris reinstate former Republican President Donald Trump’s policies on the border because they worked and claimed Biden has been “a disaster.”
Gabbard’s remarks on social media come as tens of thousands of illegal aliens have flooded Del Rio, Texas, in recent days, which follows consecutive months of U.S. Border Patrol agents engaging in 200,000+ encounters with illegal aliens. Some of the illegal aliens have allegedly attacked federal officers, including biting them, have attacked pilots, and have even hijacked a bus.
Gabbard hit the administration in a separate tweet on Wednesday over the same issue.
In a tweet tagging both Biden and Harris, Gabbard wrote, “the humanitarian and national security crisis on the southern border is the direct result of your open-border policy.”
“As I said in my 2020 presidential campaign, we can’t have a secure nation if we don’t secure our borders,” Gabbard continued.
