Clooney home $weet for prez
By GEOFF EARLE
 May 5, 2012

WASHINGTON — George Clooney is proving just as good at raking in campaign cash as he was at cracking casino safes in “Ocean’s Eleven.”

President Obama has sold out his blockbuster May 10 fund-raiser at the movie star’s home — putting the campaign on track to haul in at least $6 million from $40,000 tickets to the event, a campaign source said.

But the fund-raiser could double that take through an online sweepstakes that will pick one donor, asked to pay as little as $3, to get a chance to win two tickets to the bash at Clooney’s home in Studio, City, Calif. The campaign reportedly has hauled in $6 million from the sweepstakes alone.

Meanwhile, Karl Rove’s Crossroads super PAC has been mocking Obama for going Hollywood. “After four years of a celebrity president, is your life any better?” its ads ask.

Does anyone have any idea who Stacy Keibler is? Something to do with elves and cookies, maybe?

Last Updated: 11:49 PM, May 13, 2012

Stacy Keibler was supposed to be at the wedding of her former WWE wrestling pal Gail Kim and the Food Network’s Robert Irvine — but skipped the event to attend George Clooney’s fund-raiser for President Obama.

Keibler missed out on the nuptials at the Charles Krug Wintery in Napa, Calif., on Thursday to instead be at Clooney’s big $40,000-a-head Obama gig also attended by Tobey Maguire, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.

But the wedding was just as lavish an affair. Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, Food Network host Michael Chiarello, Camelback Mountain executive chef Beau MacMillan and Citizen Cake owner and Iron Chef finalist Elizabeth Faulkner all cooked separate courses.

Sources tell us Food Network star Guy Fieri was best man to “Restaurant: Impossible” host Irvine, and Morimoto and Food Network “Unwrapped” host Marc Summers both led the toasts.

Witnesses said Irvine, 46, and Kim, 35, “are totally in love.” And you can tell why: Kim is the reigning titleholder of the TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Women’s Knockout Championship and wrestled under the name “La Felina.”

British chef Irvine said on Twitter that he planned the event, giving his bride only the date and the location. He tweeted, “My total surprise wedding for @gailkimITSME is almost done, she has no knowledge of what’s going on and I am surprising her . . . she knows just to show up looking as she always does beautiful and I have everything else.”

Meanwhile, Keibler looks just as beautiful in Self’s June issue. She told the magazine: “I pride myself in taking great care of my mind, body and soul and not just through exercise. It’s also about getting enough sleep, eating nutritious and organic meals and taking good care of my skin.”

I guess we'll wait in vain for the OWS/spread the wealth around types to complain about wealthy people spending their own money however they want, considering the wealthy in question are good liberals.

CORRENS, France — Angelina Jolie certainly does not mess around when it comes to boys’ toys.

Jolie forked over almost $1.6 million on a helicopter and flying lessons for fiancé Brad Pitt, and it’s not even his birthday.

“They’ve had a helicopter pad installed in the grounds of their south of France home, Chateau Miraval, so Ange thought it would be nice to buy Brad a helicopter as a surprise present,” a source said.

“But even though Brad has his private pilot’s license, he still needs to take a few flying lessons, which he’ll start straight away.”

Perhaps they could take Pitt’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, out for a spin now that they are back on talking terms after years of fighting and public digs. The “Friends” actress sent them an $800 bouquet ahead of this week’s Cannes Film Festival to congratulate them on their engagement.

Batali on ‘feed the poor’ diet
By CHUCK BENNETT
 May 16, 2012

Restaurateur and TV chef Mario Batali has traded risotto Milanese for rice and beans to protest proposed cuts in food stamps.

Batali, his wife and two teenage sons are on a food- stamp diet — $1.48 per meal — for the week.

“I’m . . . starving,” said the beefy Batali, who’s on the board of the relief agency Food Bank for New York City. “Rice and beans is in my lunch every day.”

Congress is eyeing billions of dollars in cuts, which could remove 2 million people from the program.

Anyone else think this is just a tad disrespectful to the flag (even if she was singing for the troops)?

Katy Perry was ready to party with Adam Lambert after serenading the troops Wednesday night. The singer, wearing an American flag dress, gave a performance for sailors at Pier 9 in Brooklyn as part of Fleet Week, and even pulled one lucky uniformed cadet onstage for a kiss. Later, Perry went to the Dream Downtown to meet Lambert at a table at upstairs lounge PH-D, where the two partied until 3:30 a.m. While there, Perry jumped in the DJ booth to request Rihanna songs.

Bill & butthead
Running into Alec – luckily not his fist
By JOSH MARGOLIN and DAN MANGAN
June 21, 2012

I’m a huge fan, Mr. President — but I still might punch you in the face!

Hothead actor Alec Baldin was all smiles for a change yesterday when he ran into former President Bill Clinton on a Midtown street.

The Bloviator bumped into Bubba as Clinton was leaving a luncheon at Standard Chartered Bank on Sixth Avenue, and bent the ex-president’s ear for a bit.

“They’ve known each other for a while,” a source told The Post.

Baldwin — who less than 24 hours earlier was walking around with a hotel sheet over his head — wrapped up his day with an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” and the New York premiere of his movie “To Rome with Love.”

The “30 Rock” star’s chat with Letterman addressed his alleged attack on a paparazzo Tuesday outside Manhattan’s Marriage License Bureau — which has authorities mulling criminal charges against him.

“Nobody got punched,” Baldwin told Letterman. “I kind of pushed him out of the way because he almost hit me in the face with the camera.”

At one point yesterday, Baldwin shouldered aside a female “Inside Edition” reporter and rammed his bike into a male reporter.

Meanwhile, lawyers for his stalker, Genevieve Sabourin, filed papers yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court that said Baldwin not only took her to dinner, but also a show and then back to her hotel room.

Baldwin had previously said he only took her to dinner in 2010 as a favor to a mutual friend.

Mad man Alec reveals sick & twisted murder fantasies
By JEANE MACINTOSH
 July 2, 2012

He really is off the rails. Alec Baldwin may have kept his roiling temper at bay during his weekend wedding — but he admits he fantasizes about violently offing his enemies.

In the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine, which hits stands this week, the surly actor said he has wanted to murder the lawyer of ex-wife Kim Basinger “with a baseball bat.”

Baldwin added he would have liked to “gut’’ TMZ producer Harvey Levin, who on his Web site posted the infamous voicemails of Baldwin calling his teenage daughter a “pig.”

“I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him, and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes,” Baldwin told the magazine.

Baldwin, who just last week got into yet another fight with a photographer, acknowledged that he often “gave the Heisman” — or stiff arm — to people in Hollywood and that he sometimes acts “unreasonably” and “childishly.”

But he waxed philosophical about his fury.

“You have to let that go. Enough time — I mean, it does heal wounds,” he said.

His notoriously nasty relationship with Basinger is now “cordial,” Baldwin insisted, and the two speak “from time to time” about their daughter, Ireland.

Asked where his anger comes from, Baldwin blamed it on his business. [Then why don't all other actors scream at their children and call them pigs?]

“You know, Hollywood does draw some very strange characters, and then the power of Hollywood and what they can do with it becomes like a blood sport to them,” he said.

Baldwin revealed he recently asked another hotheaded actor, Mel Gibson, to come on his podcast. But he said it wouldn’t be to talk about Gibson’s violent rages against baby mama Oksana Grigorieva or his drunken, anti-Semitic rants.

“I said, ‘Mel, this isn’t about regurgitating,’ ” Baldwin recalled. “The only thing I want to ask you about the travails in your life is: What did you learn?”

Baldwin — who married Manhattan yoga teacher Hilaria Thomas on Saturday — discussed his then-impending nuptials with VF.

“I thought, I’m probably never going to meet somebody like this again, and so I decided I would get married,” Baldwin said. “And I am getting married, which is kind of mind-blowing to me.” [We're also amazed anyone would marry Crazy Alec]

He credited Thomas with helping him stick to a no-sugar diet given that he’s pre-diabetic and for staying away from booze.

When he’s not dreaming up ways to mess with his enemies, Baldwin said, he still thinks about a political career.

I do want to go into politics. I really, really do,” he said. “And I don’t know if I will. You have to stop and ask a lot of whys. Run for the glory? Run to complete some missing piece of myself?”  [Like what, your brain?]

Baldwin said he imagines President Obama saying to himself, “Wow, this isn’t what I thought it was going to be.’ You’ve got to put up with all this s--t .” [We have to put up with Obama's s--t, Alec. Fair's fair.]

The actor noted, “I can keep doing what I’m doing for a living now and be perfectly happy.”

I think Alec Baldwin ought to lead a resurgence in trepanning.  I'm confident that if enough holes are drilled in his skull it might not put him back on the rails, but it would ensure the only thing that comes out of his pie hole of his would be drool.....

The final tweet
 July 3, 2012

Alec Baldwin has quit Twitter, again. The hotheaded star signed off yesterday with a simple, “It’s been fun.”

The last time he quit was after he was removed from an American Airlines flight in December. But a source said, “He just takes time off,” and will likely return.

But Baldwin also shut down a fan who approached him for an autograph yesterday outside his Greenwich Village pad. “I’m just a fan,” a saleswoman from Brooklyn pleaded.

Baldwin responded, “I’m very busy. Sorry, can’t talk,” prompting her to ask, “Is he really that arrogant?”

Baldwin also told a reporter at a local organic cafe, “I’m having a private conversation, can you back off, buddy?”

New wife Hilaria chimed in, “Please get out of my face.’’

Hilaria spins Hamptons
 July 4, 2012

Newlyweds Hilaria Thomas and Alec Baldwin are hitting the Hamptons in lieu of honeymooning after their much-hyped nuptials. Yoga instructor Thomas will teach Soul Yoga classes at SoulCycle’s East Hampton studio every weekend this summer beginning Saturday, we hear. (If you were thinking of turning yourself into a pretzel with the Spanish sexpot, all her upcoming classes are already sold out for this weekend.)

Thomas was spotted at a spin class yesterday morning with Baldwin, whom she’s credited with whipping into good health. Spies said the pair were sweating and wearing their sparkling wedding bands.

Thomas “looked like a schoolgirl in love,” a spy said, whenever she looked at her angry actor hubby.

Baldwin, meanwhile, will also keep busy out east: He’s hosting a documentary series as part of the Hamptons Film Festival. We’re told the “30 Rock” star hand-picked the movie “Detropia” by Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing for his SummerDocs series, and will moderate a Q&A after a screening Friday of “Searching for Sugar Man” at Guild Hall.

Alec Baldwin, again.

Churchgoers diss Baldwin
Last Updated: 12:02 AM, August 9, 2012

For most, a Sunday church service is a moment for peace, worship and reflection — unless Alec Baldwin is in your congregation.

Sources tell us that some of the parishioners at Most Holy Trinity Parish in East Hampton are so sick of Baldwin’s blustering that a group stood up and turned their backs on the hot-tempered star as he gave a reading from the pulpit.

A source told us of the protesting parishioners on July 29: “Alec loves to be the center of attention and often reads from the pulpit, which really annoys some in the congregation. It is so bad that, one recent Sunday, he went up to read, and part of the congregation stood and rudely turned their backs on him.”

The source said, “Even though he has generously given a lot of money to the town, there are people who just don’t like him. He has a need for attention and shows up at every event. When people go to the church, they don’t want to see the movie star up there.”

Another source suggested that those who turned their backs were staunch Republicans who disagreed with outspoken Baldwin’s liberal views.

Baldwin, who has an eight-acre spread in East Hampton, and new wife, Hilaria Thomas, are regular parishioners at the church, of which he’s a generous benefactor. Last year, he donated a set tour of “30 Rock” to a church fund-raising auction.

Rev. Donald Hanson, the pastor, told Page Six, “Alec Baldwin reads from time to time at the church, and read again on Sunday two weeks ago.” Asked about parishioners who turned their backs, Hanson said, “I was told that happened, but I did not personally witness it, as another priest was saying the Mass.”

And about the reason for the public protest, he added, “I am not going to comment, as I wasn’t there.”

A representative for Baldwin said, “Alec was focused on the prayers, so he has no way of knowing if this happened. But does someone violating the sanctity of a church even deserve a response?”

Soros to marry again at 82
August 12, 2012

Billionaire George Soros is to marry again at age 82 after getting engaged to girlfriend Tamiko Bolton, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

The legendary investor — the seventh-richest person in America, worth $22 billion according to Forbes — announced to close friends and family last night that he’s engaged to the 40-year-old businesswoman as he celebrated his 82nd birthday at his Hamptons home.

A source told Page Six, “George planned a surprise announcement to his assembled friends and family at his birthday party last night. He told them he and Tamiko are engaged and plan to marry next summer in Southampton.” Guests at the party included Blackstone’s Byron Wien and the mogul’s son Alexander Soros.

Sources tell us the couple met at a lunch in New York in 2008, and, “Their relationship has developed over time.” While they have mainly kept a low profile as a couple, the hedge-fund titan recently stepped out with her in public in May at a Paley Center screening of “The Untouchables.”

We’re told George proposed to Tamiko on a recent weekend in the garden of his Southampton home. Sources say he presented her with a Graff ring, a brilliant-cut diamond in platinum setting on a rose-gold band with rare pink pave diamonds.

Tamiko, the daughter of a Japanese-American nurse and a retired naval commander, grew up in California. The attractive brunette has an MBA from the University of Miami and works as a consultant in health care and education. She started an Internet-based dietary supplement and vitamin-sales company and, more recently, a Web-based yoga-education platform.

Dad-of-five George has been married and divorced twice. He wed Annaliese Witschak in 1960, and they had three children before divorcing in 1983, when he wed Susan Weber Soros, 25 years his junior. They had two children and divorced in 2005.

When asked if there is a pre-nup, Soros’ attorney William D. Zabel said: “It is well known that Mr. Soros will leave the bulk of his estate to charity but he intends to provide generously for his wife.”

Kelsey Grammer says the Emmys snubbed him because he's a Republican, story at HuffPoo.
Quote
Kelsey Grammer has an interesting theory for why he wasn't nominated for an Emmy this year. During his appearance on "The Tonight Show," the actor told Jay Leno he was baffled his performance on "Boss" didn't make the cut.

When pressed by Leno to offer a possible explanation, Grammer floated the fact that he's one of Hollywood's few "declared, out of the closet Republicans."

The actor described a somewhat detailed scenario wherein an Emmy voter relied on politics in making their selection (rather than a critical attention to the potential nominees), then sarcastically said he doesn't "believe that's possible." ...

Perhaps this means Democrats will stop trying to take our vitamins away from us now that Soros has an interest in them being sold?

Inside the Kennedy legend
 August 18, 2012

Mark Shriver revealed some Kennedy-clan secrets at an intimate reading of his new book about his dad, Robert Sargent Shriver Jr., “A Good Man.”

“We all have a drinker in the family,” joked the Save the Children bigwig and brother of Maria Shriver of his family’s colorful history. “We all have the eccentric aunt, problems with drugs.”

But Shriver then revealed at the Mid-Cape Democratic Campaign Headquarters how “people in his family had always suspected” that then-President Richard Nixon leaked a story to the press that Mark’s older brother Robert “Bobby” Shriver and cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had been busted by police on Cape Cod on marijuana charges as teens.

“Mark was actually very funny while telling stories of his father and mother,” said a spy at the reading Wednesday night in Hyannis, Mass. “One person in the audience told him he could be a comedian.

“Mark also told a story about his older brother Robert being arrested on Cape Cod [in 1970], and how that story hit the front page of every newspaper in the country, and his family always believed Richard Nixon leaked it to the media,” the attendee told us.

Shriver’s brother and cousin were both 16 years old when cops arrested them for marijuana possession in Hyannis Port. The charges were dismissed after a year of probation.

Two years later, Mark’s dad — nicknamed “Sarge” — ran against Nixon as Democrat George McGovern’s running mate.

Our spy told us, “Mark spoke about all of the jobs his father held, [creating] the Peace Corps, and as US ambassador to France. He also said Sarge planned John F. Kennedy’s funeral when Jackie Kennedy asked him to help.”

Mark arrived at the reading from Cape Cod Hospital, after one of his kids sprained an ankle. Family members at the reading, where about 50 gathered, included Anthony Kennedy Shriver (who Mark joked had “only come for the free food) and a number of the clan’s kids.
