Californistan.......

You reap what you sow.  Deal with it.

Red states need to be looking at proactive ways to seal our borders or make it hard from left leaning people fleeing their own stupidity

I didn't sow, but I'm still going to reap. Why in Hades do conservatives who should know better ASSume people "fleeing" California are all "left leaning people fleeing their own stupidity"?!!!

I already know there are too many Texans who would see my CA plates or hear my accent and ASSume I must be a California liberal for me to want to move there and put up with their crap. I'm open to adding to my list of states to avoid!
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

If you were going to move to Texas, wouldn't you change your plates anyways?

Exactly.

But it also shows why Democrats want a popular vote for president. If you look at the recall map of California, it seem like every place outside the three deep blue cities voted yes to recall

CA's three largest cities are LA, San Diego, San Jose, and SF, in descending order. Which three of those four voted heavily against recall?

And, yeah. There are large areas of CA that are far from crazy-liberal. They just aren't super populous, nor are they on California-Bashers' radar screens.

I can't speak for all California bashers but when I speak about the current situation there I'm speaking about the elected leadership not individual Californians.

BTW: Texas welcomes many ex-Californians daily. The only rule is that you leave California in California.

Unless Texas has some sort of coin-op instantly-change-your-plates-at-the-border program, I would be driving about with my California plates until I made the change at the DMV (or whatever Texas calls them).

And you couldn't stand a little good-natured ribbing for 30 days (or less)?  Cars have to be re-registered within 30 days of moving to Texas.

Thin skinned carpetbagger probably wouldn't fit in here anyway.

And the truth is, for every one of him, there are probably 10 leftys who are populating Austin like roaches.

Y’all don’t have to worry about this guy invading your state, I’m here till I go toes up. I’d put my redneck bona fides against anyone here.

There are many more like me here. We’ve just been overwhelmed.

Perhaps folks had better take the "example of Elder" and apply it forward towards that black football player Walker who's makin' noise about the Senate seat in 2022.

He's not the guy on the white horse who is gonna save Republicans there, nor will he provide much in the way of effective representation if he does manage to get elected.

Georgians can do much MUCH better.

It would seem to be an opportune time to leave CA, with the real estate bubble, and the overall job market elsewhere.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. No.

I have a friend who believed that the “silent majority” in California would vote yes on the recall and elect Larry Elder governor

There is no silent majority in California.

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
