First lady Jill Biden was spotted Friday wearing a medical boot after injuring her left foot during a recent visit to Hawaii.

The first lady used a single crutch as she walked from the presidential motorcade to board a helicopter to fly to Camp David presidential compound in Maryland. President Joe Biden assisted her up the aircraft’s stairs.

Looking at the pic at the top of the OP, I noticed an incongruity. Her unbooted foot is off the ground, and the angle of the rubber tip of her crutch proves it is off the ground. IOW, her full weight is on her booted foot.

It's about balance while walking.  When I had to use a cane from my hip surgeries, I always held it in the hand opposite the surgical hip.  That's what made "House" so funny, because he always held his cane in the wrong hand.

Her crutch was not yet on the ground in the picture.  As soon as she plants it, the injured lag will go up.

Agreed. The skirt length is not age appropriate. Like that black outfit that was too short with the crazy ankle boots and looked like too many different pieces were thrown together with too much going on. I get the feeling from her photos that she is trying to seem younger to compete in that regard with Melania, but Melania dressed classy, not young.
