Leftists Destroy Memorial Honoring 13 U.S Service Members Killed in Afghanistan

The Riverside Police Department (RPD) in southern California is looking for individuals who destroyed flags honoring the 13 U.S. service members.The RPD published photographs of the vandalized flags on their Facebook page Tuesday.Police said that they were informed about the vandalism to the memorial by members of a Facebook news group.The photographs show the vandalized flags that were hung to honor eleven Marines, one Navy sailor, and one Army soldier.

Maybe it was leftists, or maybe it was someone who just doesn't appreciate their host country. Heaven knows we've got alot of them here now.

The memorial, which consisted of 13 American flags and one Marine Corps flag, had recently been put up on the fence above the Ivy Street overpass, above the 91 Freeway, in remembrance of the fallen troops, according to a post on the Riverside Police Department’s Facebook page.

Three Marines from Southern California — Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, 20, of Norco, Lance Cpl. Dylan Merola, 20, of Rancho Cucamonga, and Cpl. Hunter Lopez, 22, of Indio — were among the American troops killed in the Aug. 26 attack.

Rancho Cucamonga and Norco are both very near Riverside, and Indio not too far away.
