In light of what has transpired over this past week, I believe this was not a good time for him to be campaigning.

Sen. Ted Cruz stumps in Iowa, fueling talk of 2024 White House bid

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s decision to spend much of his weekend in Iowa campaigning for other Republicans is adding more fuel to speculation that he’s weighing another run for the White House.

Cruz spent Saturday in Central City, Iowa stumping for the re-election of U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, but largely presenting his case against the Joe Biden administration.

“Seven months into this new administration, everywhere we look, it’s a disaster,” Cruz said.

He slammed the administration for its handling of Afghanistan and the U.S. border and faulted Biden for adding trillions in new spending since he came into office.

“They have handed the agenda over to the radicals,” Cruz said. “And I’ll tell you what’s happening. All across this country, there is a tidal wave that is building.”

Cruz, as he did again on Sunday at another GOP campaign rally in Johnston, said the “road to revival” goes through Iowa.,,,,,,,,,

Mistake. He would never defeat Trump if he runs. Better to wait and see what Trump does for 2024, and maybe consider 2028.

Biden has done an incredible job of encouraging a Republican to run for the office. Could one ask for a better opportunity?

I seriously doubt Cruz would run if Trump runs, he's too smart for that nor do I believe he would do anything to undercut Trump with the democrat socialists being so dangerous. I thing Cruz would be a great VP choice if Trump runs but I doubt he would accept it.

Agree, Curz should have been the VP in 2016. We would have not been in this mess. If TRUMP does not run ( hope he does not )) Then like a DeSantis and Cruz team. JMO

I know Ted Cruz personally and think the world of him but I never have and never will vote for anyone I know to be disqualified by our constitution. He knows of my position on that.

Trump has absolutely no chance of getting elected again. He lost to the worst Dem candidate I've ever seen, Joe Biden. The Dems won't be stupid enough to run Biden in 2024, and I doubt they'll nominate Harris.
At any rate, Trump doesn't deserve anything but ignominy post-November election. He's done. Face it, and the GOP will be a lot better off.

Ted Cruz is never going to really run for President. Yeah,he will do a few headfakes to make it look like he is,but that's just gameplaying. He seems to have a pretty sweet deal as a Senator,and he ain't about to give that up for all the grief of being President.
