Why couldn't the U.S. military - the best in the world that kept the Taliban at bay for 20 years - secure a perimeter around Kabul for the final weeks to ensure an orderly and SAFE evacuation?

Why did we cede our security at check points to the Taliban?

What could be more hollow than Biden promising to “hunt down” those responsible for today bombings while kneeling at the feet of the Taliban & al Qaeda? The Haqqani network is the Afghan al Qaeda & an FTO & it’s leader is the number two of the Taliban. Don’t let them con you.

The safety of US troops and Americans behind enemy lines should never be dependent on “leverage!”
