I see many larger cities mandating the use for political only reasons.
I suppose there will be some of that, but I'd like to see what the people who will depend on that equipment, at times with their own lives at stake think.
As a former firefighter, I'd be really skeptical, and as our Department was fairly rural, I'd be even more so. But in fairness, I recognize that isn't a field/brush/marsh/woods firefighting vehicle so much as an urban one, where backup is just a station away, and not miles out.
