Gov. DeSantis to Biden: I’m standing in your way

The feud between Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) and Joe Biden has ramped up to a whole new level. On Tuesday, Biden launched criticism targeting the governors of Texas and Florida where he commanded them to help him or “get out of the way.”

During a speech on Wednesday that covered Florida’s economy, DeSantis addressed Biden’s statements and pointed a finger right back at him.

“Joe Biden has taken to himself to try and single out Florida over COVID. This is a guy who ran for president saying he was going to ‘shutdown the virus’ and what has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide open southern border,” stated DeSantis.

The governor’s point matched that of many lawmakers and health officials who have expressed worry over the effect of the Biden border crisis on the U.S.’s coronavirus infection rate. He went on to expose the hypocrisy of illegals being shipped all over the country, quite possibly spreading the new COVID variants Biden is so watchful of.............

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Mr. DeSantis talks a nice talk, but what's he gonna do when the federal agents (and perhaps even federal troops) come a-knockin' on the door...?

Who's gonna stand in THEIR way...?

Federal agents can be dispatched fairly easily.

If Biden illegally sends out the military, then we are thru the looking glass.
The Republic is lost.

I might not be correct here, but I believe Biden would have to declare the Insurrection Act (something Trump should have done), but on what basis could he do that? Something many in here were opposed to, but I doubt DEMS could care less about overreach of power.

DeSantis however, has the authority to deploy the FL National Guard.

One problem that Trump had was the governors of some states would NOT allow troops in and were turned away.

I don't know how things would play out in the situation with Biden and Fed overreach, but the sheriffs are not governed by any authority their oath is to its citizens.  So, I think you'd see the FL National Guards, Sheriffs (who have already vowed to protect) and a whole lot of Floridians. What else can we do at that point but defend ourselves??

I would hope that other states would come in and help, but at that point, I think we're talking Revolution or anarchy.
