Major American cities with black, female mayors:

Washington, DC - Muriel Bowser
Atlanta, GA - Keisha Lance Bottoms
Baltimore, MD - Catherine Pugh
San Francisco, CA - London Breed
New Orleans, LA - LaToya Cantrell
Charlotte, NC - Vi Alexander Lyles

I am not claiming either cause or effect here, but how are those cities doing, in terms of jobs, crime, education, and citizen health?

Charlotte is quite certainly the best... and it ain't that great.

SF's problems with crime, bum-crap, bum-used-needles, and bum-aggressive-panhandling goes back into the late 90s, at least. The problem with SF leadership is not skin color or reproductive plumbing. The problem is their unrealistic, economic-envy, and racist ideas.

Similarly, as folks have noted above, St. Louis has had crime problems for many years, if not decades. The current Mayor, Tishaura Jones, entered the office in April 2021. The previous mayor was Lyda Krewson, 4 years in office, and before her was Francis Slay, 16 years in office. Krewson and Slay are both white, and Slay is male, FWIW. Jones, Krewson, and Slay, for the terminally curious, were all born and raised in the US.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

I can certainly understand why you omitted Mayor Beetlejuice from your list.

Black? Possibly. Female? C'mon.

The big problem here is many of these cities, filled with obviously ignorant voters, control electoral votes of entire states.

Again, I am not claiming cause or effect. But it is a notable development that so many of our cities are electing black women as their mayors, a number of whom also happen to be lesbians, as an added "intersectional" feature.  In this respect, the politics of identity appears to be triumphing over other, more traditional qualifications for public office.

A couple more for you:

Rochester, NY - Lovely Ann Warren
Boston, MA - Kim Janey
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

You're one of the most astute commentators here, Andy.

Take a good look around.

It is only whites who for generations have ignored, or at least pretended to ignore, "the politics of identity". Where has that gotten us?

To the point where Western Civilization itself (a singularly "white" achievement) is on the verge of collapse. Soon it could come a-tumblin' down as fast as did the World Trade center buildings back in September of 2001. Indeed, that event should be viewed in retrospect as "a Clarion Call", as a warning.

It was a warning we of The West did not heed.
Our refusal to do so was out of fear -- fear as to the reality that the taking heed would present to us.

Will we wake up in time?

I honestly haven't been paying attention to the cities with black female mayors.  Thanks for the info.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

@Fishrrman

I wish I knew. Or perhaps, not.

I do know that the only chance we have begins with refusing to apologize for Western Civilization, and in the case of the USA, for creating and maintaining the greatest, freest, and most humanitarian self-governing nation in the history of the world.

Americans used to know how, and when to stand up to bullies.

They learned how from their parents, if not always from their schools.

Bravery is a virtue, still. It is long past time we practiced more of it in the face of Marxists, Progressives and assorted power-seekers who dominate our social institutions, and have perverted their purposes so as to promote not unity, creativity, freedom and life, but division, destruction, serfdom, and death.

Probably not. Too many people think it will never happen,so will not even try to prevent it.
