Cubans have been out within the streets, protesting many years of oppression and poverty. They’ve been crushed and arrested for – because the New York Instances phrased it – “Shouting ‘Freedom’ and different anti-government slogans.”
That’s not mistaken in case you perceive that the protestors should not usually “anti-government.” Their opposition is particularly directed towards the socialist dictatorship that denies them fundamental human rights.
In principle, that ought to impress the United Nations Human Rights Council. In observe, as UN Watch’s Hillel Neuer has identified, the 47-nation UNHRC “has did not take a single motion: no decision, no pressing session, no fee of inquiry.”
