Great, already about 85% of ed majors are already the dumbest lot to be found on a college campus, picked their major because it was the easiest one they could find, or because they want to spend their lives around young children and our society no longer presents fecund motherhood as a desirable option. The other 15% are genuinely dedicated and interested in educating children at least until they are ruined by the major they are required to take to be become "certified" or "qualified" or whatever other term their state legislature chose teachers, which ranges from content-free at best (e.g. courses on how to run AV equipment that normal people could learn by reading a users manual) to actively harmful at worst (even before woke nonsense took over, obeisance to Dewey's "progressive education" and Vygotsky's "social construction of knowledge" were bad enough).
