Here is Another Slap in the Face for our Military from The Biden Admin
byMark Megahan
July 16, 2021

Congressional leaders are handing the National Guard a slap in the face for their hard work, then beating them senseless with looming financial headaches. They’ve been serving as the official Imperial Palace Guard since January but nobody wants to pay the bill for the “hundreds of millions of dollars” worth of Capitol Hill security service.

Bitch slap the National Guard

On Monday, July 12, Vermont Democrat Patrick Leahy, Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, threw a measure on the table. He wants to spend $3.7 billion for “security upgrades to the congressional campus” and “bulk up Capitol Police training and equipment.” He also plans to cover “$521 million in unexpected Guard costs related to the four-month deployment to Capitol Hill” to make Democrats feel more secure from deplorable Trump supporters.

Guard training could be canceled as political fights delay reimbursement for Capitol Hill mission
Leo Shane III

Despite looming financial headaches for the National Guard, congressional leaders remain far apart on plans for a new Capitol Hill security supplemental plan containing hundreds of millions of dollars for the service.

On Monday, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., introduced a new $3.7 billion proposal to provide money for security upgrades to the congressional campus, bulk up Capitol Police training and equipment, and cover $521 million in unexpected Guard costs related to the four-month deployment to Capitol Hill in the wake of the Jan. 6 attack on Congress.

The measure is nearly double the $1.9 billion plan approved by House lawmakers for campus security earlier this year, which also had the $521 million in Guard reimbursement funds.

National Guard pleads for Congress to reimburse half a billion for Capitol security mission

The National Guard is $521 million in the hole after sending thousands of troops from a dozen states to guard the Capitol complex after the Jan. 6 insurrection. If Congress doesn’t pass funding to reimburse the Guard, they’re going to have to cancel training, drill weekends and more in order to close that gap.

Canceled drill means not only no paychecks for the Guardsmen who count on them, but it will put those troops in the red, as the deductions that fund their retirement plans and health insurance come out of those paychecks.

“All these payments would fall, for two months, behind and create a significant debt,” Air Force Maj. Gen. Rich Neely, Illinoi’s adjutant general, told reporters on Friday.

The Biden administration can't afford it.  They need the money to be able to fly illegals around the country in the middle of the night and pay their welfare.  American citizens just have to take a back seat to illegals. ****slapping

National Guard Two Weeks from Collapse — Stalling Promotions, Gutting Training, Canceling Drills, Leaders Warn

17 Jul 2021
Military.com | By Steve Beynon

National Guard operations are about two weeks from grinding to a halt as a $520 million tab to reimburse the force for protecting lawmakers during its months-long Capitol Hill mission remains in limbo amid partisan bickering.

If Congress fails to act quickly, the National Guard will shut down most training through Oct. 1, the start of fiscal 2022, Gen. Daniel Hokanson, the head of the National Guard warned Congress in May.

That would include August and September drills, annual training events and critical pre-deployment training. It would also affect 2,000 Guard-run schools, including noncommissioned officer development courses, such as the Basic Leader Course, needed for promotion, a National Guard spokesperson said.

Boy, am I glad that Governor Abbott told Biden to pound sand and brought our Texas Guard home from DC months ago.
