Top generals planned to resign en masse if Trump refused to leave office: reports
Meghann Myers

The Pentagon’s most senior officer feared President Donald Trump would attempt a coup earlier this year, according to excerpts released Wednesday from a forthcoming book.

Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told his staff that he would take steps to block Trump from using the military to enforce his rejection of the 2020 election results.

“They may try, but they’re not going to bleep succeed,” Milley said, according to the authors of “I Alone Can Fix It,” which chronicles the final year of the administration. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with the guns.”

Milley and the Joint Chiefs discussed resigning one by one if they were ordered to participate in said coup, according to authors Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig, White House reporters for the Washington Post.

Were the Joint Chiefs that clueless when it came to judging character? Or was Milley lying to curry favor with LIEden?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

That would have been the most dangerous response.  He would have replaced them with ambitious people who would do anything for him to advance their careers.

Wokemeister Milley should stick to what he knows... hating whites and fomenting discord. Somebody should give him the CEO position he so desperately wants and get him away from troops as fast as possible. Another year of him in charge and the military won't be able to defend us from an attack from Sri Lanka.

Makes me wish Trump had refused to leave office.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I hope they plan to do that if any president decides to refuse to leave office.

The Constitution is very clear on the matter:  a president's term ends on Jan. 20 following the most recent presidential election.  Period.  If the incumbent president was not elected to be the president for the four-year period that starts on that Jan. 20, then the entire military structure should refuse to cooperate with that incumbent.

Stating that this is a new-found resolve by senior generals solely on account of President Trump is either a slur on the military brass generally, or a slur on President Trump, because he never made any comments about overstaying the end of his first term on Jan. 20, 2021, except in the event that he was re-elected to sit for the next four-year term.

Reminds me of that country song 'If You Can't Live Without Me, Then Why Ain't You Dead?'
