President Joe Biden is sending a federal “strike force” to Chicago as well as major liberal strongholds such as New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., to combat violent crime and “illegal gun trafficking.”

The Department of Justice originally announced the strike force teams. They will be coordinating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) and will share information with state and local law authorities over guns and related crime. Biden claims the teams will not infringe on Second Amendment rights.

“To crack down (on) illegal gun trafficking, and the (cartels) applying weapons to cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and the Bay Area. With each strike force, local and federal law enforcement and prosecutors are going to be able to better coordinate the prosecution of illegal gun trafficking across city and state lines,” Biden stated last week.

CHICAGO - An elderly man with a concealed carry license shot and killed a robber in Chicago on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The 77-year-old was in a garage on East 89th near MLK in West Chesterfield around 12:30 p.m. when the robber drove up.

The robber pulled out a gun and demanded the elderly man's stuff, police said.

Instead of handing his things over, the elderly man pulled out a gun and shot the robber in the head and chest, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chicago Police said that the elderly man has a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card and a Concealed Carry License. The Chicago Fire Department confirmed that he is a retired firefighter. ...

I've yet to see anyone in this administration do anything that didn't directly benefit their political supporters.

On the other hand, I haven't seen them pass up an opportunity to stick it to Americans who aren't. Whom you vote for seems to be their only guiding concern.

Prosecutors have filed felony gun charges against three men, including one who reportedly works as an anti-violence outreach worker, after they allegedly crashed a stolen Jeep into a CPD patrol car in the Loop on Friday evening.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responding to calls of a man with a rifle near State and Lake were struck by a stolen SUV that they tried to pull over for having a broken windshield, according to CPD reports and prosecutors. The vehicle’s occupants ran from the scene, but cops arrested them nearby, a police spokesperson said in a tweet that included a photo of four guns officers allegedly found in the SUV.

Officers saw Antione Jackson, 19, holding an AR-style firearm in the front passenger seat before the Jeep crashed into a police vehicle, prosecutors said during a bond hearing Sunday afternoon. ...

But his defense attorney painted a different picture of Jackson, saying he lives with his girlfriend and their two children while working as an outreach worker for CeaseFire Chicago. ...
