Texas State Democrats broke into song Tuesday during a Washington, DC, press conference upon fleeing state law enforcement to block state election integrity efforts.

The members sang, “We Shall Overcome,” a Christian gospel song originally attributed to Charles Albert Tindley that was first published in 1901.

Shortly after the choral response, Texas State Rep. Gene Wu (D), one of the fleeing lawmakers, tweeted a photo of his “first meal as a fugitive.” pointing-up

What makes that photo really cringe worthy...besides that wilted salad...is his typo on his twitter post taht said it was his "Fist meal as a fugitive"   :silly: :silly:

Aside from being a giant load of malarkey....I just despise drama. Especially when one is supposed to be doing a job.

The only thing that gives me a chuckle is thinking what the bunch that left in the early 2000's over redisctricting having a fit.

What do you mean? Chartered flight? What do you mean DC? We went to Ardmore and stayed at the Motel 6!

That little trip to Ardmore put them in the political wilderness for at least 20 years and I'm betting this trip to D.C. will keep that in place for at least another 20.
