I used to wear a hat almost all the time... but as I have aged the heat factor came into play. It basically is too dang hot to sport a beard and a hat most the time. I wore a leather cowboy hat (green or brown). I still have all my hair, it just has turned white. In wintertime I will wear a toboggan when needed. Sometimes if cold, I will even wear one to bed.

I've been out of pot for weeks which explains a lot.  I even cut back on my drinking a bunch (till last night) to try and recover quicker from my surgery.

I used to believe that a cowboy hat could make any man look good ... until I was disabused of that notion.

You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

I still have hair, so, a hat is an unnecessary item.

My next brother shaves his head and does wear hats.

I heard that years ago, but stopped wearing them. Hairloss has basically stopped.

I wear hats outside to do gardening and weeding or if I'm going for walks to help give me some shade from the sun. I wear mostly baseball caps with a longer brim and I pull that brim down as far as I can to help the sunglasses shade my eyes. 888blackhat

Houston Astros Cap mostly these days, on the weekends, but not at work.
Sugar Land Skeeters cap I wear to their games.
A University of Houston cap for those games.

I've outlived my various Stetsons and fedoras.
Even had a Stetson fedora at one time.
Might buy one more Stetson, not sure yet.

I know - I never did dig it up this year.  I need to do that.

I'm not sure if it's the Braves doing well or just the entire rest of the NL East imploding, but I'll take it either way.
