Dear Left: Please Stay Home Today
Those who can’t say anything nice about America today shouldn’t say anything at all.

Dear Left: On Independence Day, please stay home. Give America one day of respite to celebrate what you have spent the other 364 days of the year denigrating. On our national holiday, there is no greater gift that you could give America than your absence.
Having the Left in attendance on Independence Day is like encountering an atheist at Christmas. What do you wish them, when you know that they do not just fail to celebrate your holiday but actively deny its reason for being? “Happy Nothing?”
Independence Day is the celebration of America. It is pure patriotism, old and genuine. It was celebrated across what was not even yet a country in 1776, and it has been ever since. Americans do not need to be told, let alone forced as in some countries, to wave their flag and celebrate their national day. They just do it. They always have and they always will … unless of course the Left intervene.
It is for all the reasons that Americans habitually and instinctively celebrate America’s independence that the Left hate July Fourth. Oh, they may pretend to participate in their fashion of anti-Americanism wrapped in the fake bunting that claims protest to be patriotism. Yet really they are as thoroughly alienated from it as they are from the country itself.
