HOT TAKES: The Left Exploits Juneteenth to Push Their So-Called Progressive Agenda

Juneteenth is a holiday intended to celebrate the end of slavery in the Confederate states. It has been celebrated by the black community and other Americans for almost 150 years. (See: Juneteenth Is a Perfect Opportunity to Weave All the Threads Into the Fabric of America’s Tapestry)
So, it comes as no surprise the leftists decided to use this year’s Juneteenth celebration to continue promoting their so-called progressive agenda. Several different activist media outlets used the occasion to convince people to support the Democrats’ federal, voting rights legislation.
The proposed legislation – which is not likely to pass, thanks to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) – would essentially be a federal takeover of states’ elections. It would prevent states from passing laws designed to safeguard election integrity, making it easier for fraud to occur.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid, who sorta disapproves of sexual harassment depending on who’s doing it, tweeted: “Happy Juneteenth!!! — but only to those who believe everyone; Black, white brown, Asian or indigenous, has the right to vote, and that the results of an election should be respected. The rest of y’all should just consider today Saturday. Looking at you, @GOP. Be blessed.”
