Squad member Cori Bush now calls for reparations and 'black liberation' after House votes to make Juneteenth a 'National Independence Day' federal holiday - after 14 GOP Reps said it forces Americans to pick between June 19 and July 4

Rep. Cori Bush, indicated that there's more to be done for black Americans than mark Juneteenth, the end of slavery in the U.S., as a federal holiday
'It’s Juneteenth AND reparations. It’s Juneteenth AND end police violence + the War on Drugs,' she tweeted Wednesday night
She also pushed for the end of 'housing + education apartheid' and teaching people the 'truth about white supremacy in our country'
'Black liberation in its totality must be prioritized,' she encouraged
Bush's comments came as the House of Representatives voted to make Juneteenth a federal holiday Wednesday night
14 Republicans voted against June 19th becoming a 'National Independence Day' because they believe it would create 'confusion' with Independence Day
GOP Rep. Thomas Massie said it will 'push Americans to pick one of those two days as their Independence Day based on their racial identity'

Squad member, Rep. Cori Bush said on Wednesday night that black Americans now need reparations and 'liberation' after the House approved a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday known as 'National Independence Day'.

President Biden is set to sign the bill at an event with Kamala Harris on Thursday afternoon after it passed through Congress, with 14 Republican members voting against and saying it conflicted with July 4.

'It’s Juneteenth AND reparations. It’s Juneteenth AND end police violence + the War on Drugs. It’s Juneteenth AND end housing + education apartheid. It’s Juneteenth AND teach the truth about white supremacy in our country,' she wrote in a tweet Wednesday night. 'Black liberation in its totality must be prioritized,' the Missouri Democrat encouraged.

I'm all for (b)lack "liberation", if that means giving them one-way tickets to Liberia or some other socialist paradise.
The GOP is not the party leadership.  The GOP is the party MEMBERSHIP.   The members need to kick the leaders out if they leaders are going the wrong way.  No coddling allowed.

And the operative phrase is "with Liberty AND Justice for ALL".

Not just for the (b)lacks.

That means the Whites targeted by Aunty Fa and (b)lack Lies Matter deserve "reparations", since they are living victims of active government antagonism.

That means the Jews targeted by the Squat deserve "reparations" from the DNC, as well as from Aunty Fa and (b)Lack Lies Matter.

That means the political prisoners in the DC gulag deserve reparations for being denied habeas corpus and violations of the Eigth Amendment.

It means all sorts of things.  What it doesn't mean is giving welfare maggots MORE unearned loot.

@Sled Dog

Exactly! They are free to leave any time they want. They are NOT slaves, and there is nothing stopping them from leaving.

I would even be willing to have the taxpayers fund their one-way tickets, providing that neither they or any of their offspring be allowed to claim US citizenship again and return.
