Numbers Show Border Disaster Unabated in May as Illegal Migration Goes Global
Spike in family units at the ports, and more than 40,000 migrants from beyond the Northern Triangle

Border Patrol apprehensions at the Southwest border were down in May by less than 1 percent from April, but total CBP encounters there were up slightly last month.
Border Patrol apprehensions of families and unaccompanied children have slowed marginally, but are still at historically high levels.
The number of illegal migrants in family units encountered by CBP officers at the Southwest border ports in May surged 118 percent from April. None of those aliens were expelled under Title 42.
