@Sled Dog

He doesn't know a damn thing about the War of Northern Aggression. For example,General US Grant owned slaves right up to the end of the war,when he was forced to free them.

Did U.S. Grant Really Own Slaves? Factcheck

Quote
William Jones, Grant's Own Slave

Grant did own one slave, a thirty-five year old man named William Jones, in 1858. Jones may have been a "present" from his father-in-law, or Grant may have purchased him. However, a year thereafter, he wrote, “I do hereby manumit, emancipate and set free said William Jones from slavery forever.”

He had one slave, and he freed him in 1859.  Some slave holder.   :shrug:

And Grant freed his when he was broke and slaves were VERY expensive.

And notably, in 1859, before the war.  So....Not after, and Not by force.  Maybe not the best issue to reopen the litigation about that war, whatever it's called.

I don't have enough pie to quell that.

I concur completely.

But I do think he is not clinically insane, just misguided somehow.

Maybe he was not the lead Sled Dog and it affected him looking at assholes in his eyes all day long.

@IsailedawayfromFR

Could be. I can see how that could happen.

@Cyber Liberty

You,or your source is trying to split hairs. I have even heard some yankees claim Grant never owned ANY slaves because they belonged to his wife.

The one you mentioned just happened to be his man-servant slave.

Zuckerberg and Dorsey could not have said it better.

His only one, and he freed him before the war.  No hair-splitting required.  That reason to believe Grant was evil won't hunt.

Letting Sherman off the leash would be a better one. :shrug:

The topic has managed to show how ill informed and brainwashed some have been by political contamination.

And I thought the topic was how the corrupt DoJ is going to fight election integrity laws.
The GOP is not the party leadership.  The GOP is the party MEMBERSHIP.   The members need to kick the leaders out if they leaders are going the wrong way.  No coddling allowed.
