Border Patrol and police raid five homes in Texas where more than 200 migrants were hidden by smugglers
A total of 216 migrants were detained at five stash houses in Laredo, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection
The individuals were natives of Ecuador, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala
The raids were carried out as a part of a joint operation between Laredo Sector Border Patrol and the Laredo Police Department
Data provided by the Laredo Sector Border Patrol to DailyMail.com shows 3,998 migrants were arrested at 189 stash houses from October 1, 2020 to June 9
In comparison, the sector took 464 migrants into custody after raiding 46 homes between October 1, 2019 and September 31, 2020.
