Jen Psaki's Answer to Peter Doocy Asking Why Biden Failed to Commemorate D-Day Was Something Else

As Nick Arama reported earlier, President Joe Biden failed to commemorate the 77th anniversary of D-Day Sunday, not making any public comments about it nor posting anything to his social media accounts regarding one of the most famous and honored days in American military history.

While Biden did tweet about the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, which deserves remembrance in its own right, many were left wondering why a Commander in Chief who has in the past put on theatrical productions and told tall tales about his supposed fondness for our men and women in uniform would fail to give the historic day and the symbolism of what it means the proper acknowledgment and respect.

Though Biden appeared to be unavailable to take questions from reporters today, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy did not let that stop him from inquiring of White House press secretary Jen Psaki earlier during the daily press briefing about Biden’s lack of acknowledgment of the day.

“Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump all commemorated D-Day anniversaries on the D-Day anniversary,” Doocy noted. “Why didn’t President Biden?”

Here was Psaki’s response:

Quote
“Well, I can tell you that certainly, his value for the role the men who served on D-Day and the memory of them, the families who have kept their memories alive over the course of years on this day is something the President has spoke to many, many times in the past. It’s close to his heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more we would have to say on it.”

In other words:

"That guy the DNC put into the White House to occupy the stolen Presidency doesn't know what day of the week it is, let alone the date, and he has no sense of history beyond the last time he had jello.   And his staff, including myself, are both historically illiterate and arrogant as hell.  We never served in the military, don't understand what the big deal is, and I'm going to have to look up what D-Day was after this meeting because I don't actually know myself.  "

That's why they didn't have their meat puppet read a blurb about D-Day, their ENTIRE STAFF either forgot about it, didn't know about it or decided it wasn't that important.

The Biteme Regime never thought of it.  Getting them to acknowledge Memorial Day was like pulling teeth.

Wait and see how they mangle the Fourth of July.

They've already started. The celebration at Mt. Rushmore is still cancelled.

Judge dismisses South Dakota governor's lawsuit to bring July Fourth fireworks back to Mount Rushmore

A federal judge won't force the National Forest Service to allow fireworks at Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills for an Independence Day celebration.

U.S. District Court Judge Roberto Lange dismissed a lawsuit brought against President Joe Biden's administration by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem after the forest service blocked a fireworks display scheduled there for next month.

In a 36-page opinion Wednesday, Lange said that the forest service and the U.S. Department of Interior were justified in pulling the plug on a 2021 fireworks display because of environmental, tribal and health concerns and that the authorization South Dakota had received ahead of the 2020 display, which President Donald Trump attended, did not extend to 2021.........

That was Mike Huckabee's take in his twice-daily blog.  He suggested that the woke young people (Gen X, Millenials, whatever they're called) handling communications for the Biden Admin, including composing the actual social media posts, simply don't know anything about the invasion of Normandy so they are incapable of observing its anniversary.

Maybe if I send my DVD of "The Longest Day" to the WH it will help with their education.

Send a DVD to those people?

They'd think it's a mini frisbee.   And then they'd have to ask themselves why people were fighting National Socialists, because all socialism is good socialism.

...hmm...so the Invasion of Normandy and D-Day have been omitted from the history books??? There aren't many WWII vets left.

I heard a couple of days ago on Glenn Beck's show an interview of a rather young gentlemen who was going around the country and interviewing WWII vets so that history would be preserved.  It's a real shame, to date he has no offers on books or films to help preserve this vital piece of history.

I think Huckabee is correct. Joe Biden has nothing whatsoever to do with social media. Ask him what twitter is, he'll look up in the sky for a bird. The younger the White House staffer, the more illiterate (historically and otherwise). For them, U.S. history - as taught in school - began with the civil rights movement of the 1960s.

Spot on summation.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

If you ever get a chance to visit New Orleans, I highly recommend the WWII museum there.  It provides a highly personal account of our Greatest generation.  An absolute must-see.  Two day minimum.
