The DoD Is Failing to Align Expertise with the National Defense Strategy

Air Force Lt. Col. William M. Danyluk is currently assigned to the Pacific Air Forces headquarters at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. It wouldn't make sense to ask a maintainer to fly a fighter jet, so why is the U.S. military relying on service members with little to no security cooperation training to develop strategy and plan operations that require close coordination and cooperation with foreign allies and partners?
