Frankly, this would make for great satire, but it’s not … and that’s the point. Despite months of attempts to get the New York Times to remove characterizations of the Babylon Bee that cast it as a misinformation site, the paper hasn’t budged. CEO Seth Dillon says the malice has become obvious enough to proceed with legal action, and have taken the first steps toward a defamation lawsuit:

ProgMedia just can't handle being the butt of effective satire. If this goes to trial, the NYT might find it hard to claim that The Babylon Bee uses the "satire" label to camouflage "Right-Wing disinformation" when much Bee content satirizes Evangelical Christians' foibles.

I believe Alan Dershowitz and Project Veritas are both also suing the NYT.  Perhaps they'll put "the old grey lady" out of our misery.
