CNN is coming under internal and external criticism over its approach to conflicts of interest for journalists after host Chris Cuomo escaped disciplinary action despite advising his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), on how to handle sexual misconduct allegations.

Current and former employees have criticized the host of “Cuomo Prime Time” for the transgression, but a retired CNN ethics executive says the lack of clear cut policies are largely to blame.

“You won't see any rules that are etched in stone so that a violation could be a firing offense,” said Steve Holmes, who retired from CNN in 2019 after working at the network for more than a decade.

This piece of BS is an example of why I call the source The SHill. One need not have a journalism degree to know that a professional avoids conflicts of interest and does not insert themselves into a story! If for no other reason, BMM should can Cuomo for the (further) disrepute he caused BMM!

As a practical matter, there's nothing ethically wrong with one brother advising another brother how to weasel out of trouble.   Did Fredo do anything criminal here?  I don't think so.    Sure, Fredo played egg-toss with his murdering and sexually assaulting brother on the air, but it's CNN and everyone knows CNN has no standards, and everyone has known that since CNN helped Saddam Hussein call shots on the First Gulf War.

To pretend that CNN has ethics is like pretending a maggot says grace before eating.   CNN has been the willing and voluntary tool of oppression for the Democrat National Socialist Rich People's Party since it's inception.  Just like the Washington Poop and the New York Slimes.

Too pretend "ethics" exists in the land of Marxist political fiction that is the modern news media is nothing but a joke.

Let us know when they go back to calling themselves reporters and go back to multiply-sourced stories and facts.
