El Salvador is intent on displacing the US to make China its patron. But it needs our cash to do it.

The country that we rescued from a Communist takeover a generation ago is selling itself to Communist China.

But it needs our money to bridge the gap.

El Salvador is on somewhat of a charm offensive in Washington this week, desperately trying to convince anybody who will listen that its dynamic young president, Nayib Bukele, is a solid asset for the United States who is fending off aggressive advances from Beijing.

The opposite is true.

Bukele is a Communist Chinese asset who needs infusions of American aid and Washington-approved cash to keep his bankrupt economy going while he works out a better deal with Xi Jinping.

If China were to take its illegals I would definitely consider the deal.

Too bad the people of El Salvador don't seem to have any interest in electing politicians to make El Salvador stand on it's own, without welfare from the US or anywhere.

What's China going to get from El Salvador in return for the money?   Bases and bananas?

BTW, guess who is El Salvador's largest trading partner?   Yup.   The US.

The US needs to start getting tougher with these people.   But we also need to pay attention to the Monroe Doctrine.

Fine if China wants to loan El Salvador some money.  But the US should make it clear that if El Salvador defaults on the loan, (he said "if" hahahaha...) then China will not be allowed to occupy the country and control it like they've been doing in Africa and elsewhere.

It's bad enough that China has bases in San Francisco, New York and Washington, we don't need to have them lurking just off our borders, too.

The GOP is not the party leadership.  The GOP is the party MEMBERSHIP.   The members need to kick the leaders out if they leaders are going the wrong way.  No coddling allowed.
