1. LIEden is increasingly skilled at mincing and mangling words, but his meaning is clear. He believes that people who don't get vaccinated are assuming a high risk, and some will "pay the price" of illness, serious illness, or death. LIEden was not threatening anyone.
2. US new cases numbers have been in an almost continuous decline. The peak was January 8th, 304,204 new cases; yesterday was 25,030 new cases, less than a tenth of the peak. While the start of the decline, in early January, was probably almost entirely people again becoming more cautious, some time in late January or in February the cumulative number of vaccinated people became relevant and started fueling the decline. I seriously believe that there will be no more surges in the US, and the bump in early April may also be our last.
My opinion is that the cumulative number of the vaccinated and non-vaccinated recoverees has reached the point where the refusers' and reluctants' risk is also tumbling.
