The POS that kidnapped, raped and murdered five year-old Samanth Runnion is still under careful protection in a California prison pending all the appeals on his conviction. He had her DNA on his body and in his car. Her body had his DNA and fingerprints in her body. His car was identified by the witness to the kidnapping, and his car left identifiable tracks where the body of the small child was dumped.
He's still breathing air, and it's guaranteed that if his turn ever comes up to be executed, there will be the usual no-brained suspects at the prison and on the media declaring that a mistake was made and he didn't do it.
If he'd been placed in general population as a convicted child rapist and murderer with a life sentence, he'd have been dead in a week.
These people HOPE they get a death penalty.
