The Governor even specifically noted that businesses both large and small businesses would be covered by the mandate reduction.

When politicians feel the heat they sometimes see the light.

CA's ne cases numbers, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/california/ , started plunging on January 8th, and bottomed out in the basement around March 9th. Even some ardent Mask Nazis get that trying to stay clamped down in the face of that would lead to mass defiance.

What has me POed - on a personal level - is that in the Bay Area the largest park district is banning organized trail run events until at least mid August. Outdoors in open parks and trails is pretty much the lowest risk environment, event organizers already know how to organize safe snack and hydration handling at aid stations and recovery areas, and starting participants in groups (by distance) is already normal. But the moronic reality-challenged control-freak bureaucrats say "NO!!!"
