Kamaji:
He's going to be shocked as all get-out when he learns that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West, all within a 24-hour period, every single day.

In plain language terms, Mayor Frey will soon learn that cities that choose to put targets on their police officers' backs quickly find recruiting police officers difficult.

Fishrrman:
Mayor Frey will probably be re-elected.

If not, he will be replaced by someone who is even more "to the left" than he is.

Free Vulcan:
It's getting bad up there. Downtown is nearly a no-go zone anymore, and there's been a lot of reach out to the burbs as the criminal element consolidates their position.

Here's the real problem that's not getting mentioned - there aren't enough city cops to provide coverage because so many have quit/retired.

So it's the county sheriff and state patrol that are filling in gaps. That can't last forever from either a manpower or budget point of view.

At some point this is going to devolve into anarchy.

Suffice to say my sister and bro-in-law living in the outer burbs are ready to sell and bug out at a moments notice.

A "moment's notice" will be too late.
If they want to get out (or at least "farther out"), NOW is the time to be doing it.

Minneapolis is gonna "end up like Detroit" sooner than any other city in the country (with the possible exception of Baltimore)...
