So Midler's too bleeping dumb to know that youths and children under age 16 are not permitted to be vaccinated, and those age 16 or 17 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine? Typical ignorant Hollyweirder.

Considering that Midler's "child" is 34 and has no grandchildren this is an even bigger WTF? moment than usual for the drug and alcohol addled used to be/has been. It's sad how these entertainers/athletes seem to think that because they have some physical ability or talent that anyone gives a damn about their opinion or that it matters.

That post has a semi-mea-goofa. It was correct with regard to Midler's May 9th Twit, but incorrect concerning the Pfizer vaccine when I posted on May 11th. On May 10th the FDA extended Pfizer's EUA to include usage with youths age 12-15.

I would not be surprised if Moderna gets a similar extension, since they also have a trial with 12-17 year-olds. On the order of 30% of the US population is under age 15, so this is a numerically significant extension.

"Jiffy" is a baking mix, e.g., corn muffins, cake mix. JIF is peanut butter. Apparently Bette hasn't set foot in a grocery store or a kitchen in her life. Or she was thinking of SKIPPY, which is pb, but not of the Jiffy variety.

 She can bring all the corn muffins she likes, as long as there's some chili or bean soup to go with it.
