Bill and Melinda Gates Announce Divorce After 27 Years of Marriage

Joshua Caplan 3 May 2021

Bill and Melinda Gates announced in a statement Monday afternoon that they will divorce after 27 years of marriage.

“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the statement reads. “Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.”

My take is that there must be money in it for them to be getting divorced. I mean what is the downside to them remaining married? With all the homes and property they own they wouldn't ever have to see each other, they could even be double as environmentally aware flying in two private jets instead of one. What's the downside, that they couldn't both go to the same uber liberal gatherings? Divorced/not divorced it makes no difference, sounds like two attention whores doing what attention attention whores do.

The upside is she can find a man that doesn't look and act like a sleestak, while keeping a substantial portion of his cash - more than she needs to live out the remainder of her life in squalor.
