Same “woke” Pentagon that says men and women are exactly the same now pushing for easier gender-specific fitness test for women

Word on the street says the United States Army is planning to alter the requirements for its Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT 3.0) to make it easier for female soldiers to pass.

Because the test is apparently too hard for most women in the military, the Army has decided to create two unequal versions – a harder one for men and an easier one for women – in order to produce equal outcomes that favor women over men.

You might call it “wokeness” on steroids because the scheme involves creating a system of unequal opportunity in order to bring about an equal end result. Just like how affirmative action benefits black people over white people, the Army’s new ACFT 3.0 will benefit women over men by giving women an unfair advantage.

I took the West Point PT Entrance Test out of high school in 1970. I failed to do the requisite number of pullups. No one changed the test for me... I simply failed. So I Enlisted and spent a year at USMAPS (West Point Prep School) then at Fort Belvoir. After a year I retook the test and passed. I entered West point and graduated in 1975. As a young Lieutenant I found myself tasked to head up the West Point PT Test for local high school students which, by then, included women. The PT remained the same for men but women standards were lowered, including no requirement for pullups, just a standard for hanging by the arms for a designated period of time. I spent a year of my life striving to meet the standard. Women got a pass. Here we go again.

Will someone tell the Chinese, Russians, Al Queda, ISIS, etc to lower their combat victory requirements? I think not.

My husband spent over 40years in Army Aviation...so I heard all about the problems re women especially in combat...

Two points. First, since the democrats/socialists have legislated away biological sex why should there be different standards. And second, with the democrats/socialists legislating that since there is no biological sex what is to keep a formerly biological XY from deciding it is now a XX and qualifying at the lower standards?

I always expected, pre Obama, that the democrats would try to destroy the military by defunding but with Obama came a accelerated attack on the moral and psychological fiber of our military to weaken it (which has gone inter hyper speed with his third term) and drive decent patriotic men and women out.
